Being on the West Rand, and a fair distance from the bigger airports of Johannesburg, our skies are quieter making your flying that bit more pleasant – no stacking! We welcome owners of light aircraft to join the Club and base their aircraft at this well maintained facility.
The Airfield boasts 3 flying schools, 5 AMO’s, aircraft manufacturers, hangarage, Avgas, and a Clubhouse. The 26 South Restaurant is located in the Clubhouse. The Club holds monthly meetings of Member on the second Tuesday of every month. Featuring a spectacular view from the Clubhouse, one looks over the valley West of Zwartkops and takes in the Magaliesburg mountain range on the horizon.
Sunsets and sundowners are enjoyed by our Members and their guests at this popular watering hole. Lanseria and the Magaliesburg general flying area are a quick 6 minute hop from take off!
Members arrange regular flying days and are actively involved in all aspects of aviation including building and restoration projects.
Attractions include the neighhbouring Mogale City Nature Reserve, the nearby world famous Sterkfontein Caves, Rhino & Lion Park and the Cradle of Humankind. The metropolis of Johannesburg is within easy reach by car.
